Tour Options Near Reine (Bed & Breakfast)

Mount Reinebringen
Lofoten Bed & Breakfast has the privilege of having the majestic Reinebringen mountain as its closest neighbour. From atop the 448-meter-high mountain, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Reinefjord and its surrounding mountains. On clear days, you can see all the way to the Norwegian Sea in the north and to Værøy and Røst islands in the south. In recent years, Nepalese Sherpas have constructed a stone stairway with over 1,500 steps, which helps ensure a safer path to the top. During the summer months, the midnight sun makes it possible to enjoy the hike at any time of day or night. If you prefer to hike in near solitude, we recommend visiting during late spring or early autumn. However, regardless of when you visit and how many people are on the trail, the spectacular views will not disappoint.

Tour Options Near Sørvågen (Rorbuene)

Loop Trail Around Sørvågen Lake
Follow a gravel foot path around lake Sørvågen lake for an easy-going nature walk. It takes about an hour to walk the loop, including short breaks. Enjoy the lake’s tranquillity while taking in views of majestic mountains and idyllic waterfalls. During the summer, bring a swimsuit along and take a break at the charming swimming hole on the east end of the lake.

Glåpen Lighthouse
Hike over the peninsula for views of Glåpen lighthouse and the Vestfjord. Just outside your cabin you will see the broadcasting tower where the path begins. To get to the starting point you need to walk the 110 steps staircase up to the tower. From the tower there is a network of trails in all directions. The trail toward Glåpen Lighthouse navigates over rough terrain but it is easy to follow. Follow the trail past the lighthouse and down to the charming Besselvågen harbour, where you can walk along the road back to your cabin.

Munkebu
Sørvågen is also the starting point for longer hikes deeper into the mountains. Munkebu, one of the Norwegian Trekking Association’s (DNT) charming mountain cabins, is a popular destination for visitors to Western Lofoten, for good reason. Lofoten’s raw nature doesn’t disappoint – there are mountains, lakes and waterfalls as far as the eye can see. Starting at your fisherman’s cabin, the hike to Munkebu (450 meters above sea level) takes approximately 2-3 hours.
